here is some information about the kone ecodisc 1st generation kones first attempt to a machine room less lift system kone succesfully launched there 1st generation ecodisc in 1990. These lifts were very futuristic for the time. Like alot of lifts around the 1990 still needed a machine room. The kone ecodisc did not need a machine room because the moter was in the shaft and the controller was on the top floor. These lifts used the same voice that otis did during this time.

Here is some information about the kone ecodisc the 2nd attempt of kones ecodisc range. The kone ecodisc was made to superseed the kone ecodisc 1st generation. Kone redesigned the kone ecodisc buttons and indicator. Kone were no longer using the otis voice on there ecodiscs because for the 2nd generation the ecodisc had its own voice i think this kone voice is awesome like the way kones going down and up voice sounds is amazing

Here is some information on kones 3rd generation ecodiscs now these lifts were so awesome they had some nice sounding ecodisc moter and the buttons were totally redesigned there were kones vandel resistant fixtures kss d40.

one slight problem with some kone ecodiscs from the 2nd and 3rd generation ecodisc one day at my school there was some kids acting stupid and the lift was sitting on floor 0 it was a kone ecodisc 3rd generation with kss d40 fixtures and a 3rd generation moter installed in 2011. These kids were so stupid the were able tp pull the lift doors open with there bear hands. They had no triangle key to unlock the doors with so what the hell kone one lift at my school can get pried open easily while the over one cant and the maintnance guys are not doing anything about it. I even personally showed the maintnance guy and he said he will contact kone but guess what the kone engineer saod that this was a safety feature with the lift well how come you can only do it on some ecodiscs and others have door locks. I have also tried it on a 2nd generation ecodisc the doors can get pried open easily.
